No, really...

Why do people have to write yaoi/slash and portray the characters as girls on a man's body?  Why?!

*bangs head against desk*

'Cause it's easier?

And 'cause writers can't help feeling like girls they are?

Watch out the blood on the desk, dear ^___^

Because they're written by teenaged girls who haven't got a clue to how men works and don't have the imagination to make it up? :-)

What an interesting question, and what an interesting observation.

I wonder if they know they're doing that? I mean, you can only write about what you know about, I think. The more you know about something, the more you can realistically write about it.

I understand your frustration with this kind of thing, but maybe you can get some insight from the writers themselves?

well i have a theory: Most writers are woman. It is difficult to us to portray a gender we basically don't live. but I agree with you. it is awful when slash writers do that. Basically two lesbians dressed in drag. xD

And that's why I kind of started to hate on whole genre - I'm far too old to waddle through the swamp of shit in search of rare gems. :-S

I'd also love to corner some samples of this disgusting trend and show them my armchair psychologist madskillz, all of them. Like, tell them they're deeply closeted lesbians or self-hating, misogynistic masochists or something.
