My cat, the survivor.

Long story short, Erendil, my cat, fell off the balcony and hit the ground. We live on a fifth floor. We panicked. She's traumatised, but nothing major happened. According to the vets she's in the best shape possible. No broken bones, no internal damage. She just got three stitches on her lower lip, another one on her left knee and bruises on her tongue.

She could've died *sob*

Gah! Almost fainted when I read your first line, how scary! But I'm so very glad she's fine.

woah, I'm glad your kitty is okay! I have heard of cats falling from heights and surviving, too. They have mad ninja skllz, apparently...! Blessed be your little kitty...! *cuddles her own kitty*

I panicked when started to read your post :s but I'm so glad your kitty is in excellent shape after such a fall...I only let my kitty to get out of the kitchen window because it feels safer (the window's got an iron thing for the plants pots) maybe some bird caught her attention and persuaded to try and jump? my kitty sometimes gets hipnotized by birds and I've known some cats have fallen down windows because of birds...
*hugs*

¿y que hacía tu gata en el balcon?

Across the street from where I work there's this balcony, and there's this cat which perches, litterally "perches" on the balcony railings like a bird. It moves to the left, then to the right, like some kind of acrobat (which I reckon most cats are), and it never falls.

I reckon Erendil isn't used to the new place yet, and I'm sure she won't fall again. Cats are clever that way, unlike dogs (remembers stupid pets) who are more like humans, and make the same mistake twice.

Glad your cat is okay. I remember the Woody Allen quote from his film Bananas "I'm like a cat. I always land on my feet." And, well, Erendil is a cat, plus she's got a really cool name.

Poor pusskin! I'm so glad she survived it so well. I remember how terrified I was when my little kitten walked out along our bedroom windowsill and fell onto the driveway below. Cats are built to fall well.

I'm glad your cat is ok!!

I feared the worst at first so I'm glad nothing serious happened to her. I have 4 cats and I know I would be in pieces if something happened to one of them. *pets cats surrounding her and goes back to lurk study*
