Yaoi or No Yaoi...that's the question.

Well, there's this forum where I've uploaded my non-yaoi fics. Why is that?? Well, I've discovered how sensitive can people be when it comes to things they don't like a.k.a don't understand. Anyway, today I received notification that someone had responded to my post (a post where I've uploaded my non yaoi Spanish drabblers) Imagine my surprise when in the signature of the one who posted I found this:

[info]antiyaoi

I just made me laugh their arguments for not liking yaoi (Which I personally think are completely valid and respectable). I know it would also make me laugh my reasons or other's for liking it. What can I say? I mean, everyone's free to speak as they wish. It's just fun that the people who like yaoi are "attacked" by things like this. I wonder what would the people who do like yaoi say of all this.

Anyway, I like both things. I have no problems with ether of them. I'm just here, sitting while I write this wondering, where's the tolerance to the difference?

Just read some comments at that comm. Seems some of them are against rabid yaoi fangirls who give a damn about characterization and all they want to read is about their favorite male charas having sex. Nonetheless, I'm sure that inside that comm there are also insane anti-yaoi fans who hate anything that has to do with m/m fanwork.

Extremes are bad and will always be. In both cases, if someone doesn't like something, why don't they turn their back peacefully without making fuss about it, I wonder?

And now I really need to stop checking lj and finish what I need to do! *shoots herself*

I know!

Extremes are not good. We both know it, inside any community, whether it's yaoi or non yaoi; there are always those who take it to the edge of everything. I've felt "pena ajena" ust to see some girls behaviour just because they like it or don't like it. That's what I don't agree with.

Yes, people should turn their backs and let the others be, but...it seems things like that are not likely to happen. In either case.

*nods and points to comment below* Yeah, that their behavior makes me feel ashamed.

Good luck with the reunion! ^^/

Not sure if my position was clear here, but I'm also against that kind of insane fangirls. Well, they're free to do whatever they want and I really don't mind, as long as they're away from me. Really AWAY.

It was clear, really. That's why I said that about feeling ashamed for others...people should see what they do in a more objective way. I'm not against anyone. People can do with their lives as they pleased. This community only made me wonder about tolerance and stuff like that.

Some people are insane, some others aren't. But then again, I also think some of those rabid fangirls take it all to extremes. I've even said it to a couple of friends, these girls need to get a life or get laid every now and then so they can think about other stuff adn have a "normal" life. A more sane way of thinking.

It's just that I read your 11:55 comment after I posted my 11:58 comment. ^^; Which reminds me I still don't get how LJ sets the hour for the comments.

*rolls on the floor laughing* They should get a life indeed. ^^
