Apr. 11th, 2006 06:24 pmI'm feeling much better.
Got great news from Vito.
Feel like going to Spain to hug and comfor a lovely piece of Ice that I simply adore.
I've begun a yaoi fansub in Spanish with a couple of friends.
Was trying to update Labrys and upload the whole thing again, and well, the host fell. *damn*

My, I'm impressed After all, I used to take my knitting homework home to get someone do it for me until the nun caught up with it and forbid us from taking it out. Then I started to fail the stupid "manual arts" class and being forced to go to school on Saturdays to knit, cross-stitch and all that stuff. So if you can handle that stuff, that makes you my heroine of the week

Date: 2006-04-11 06:50 pm (UTC)Yup, I made it. I know how to knit and cross-stitch. I've made myself clothes and stuff. Funny thing is, I didn't have these classes at school. I learnt like 10 years ago and just by reading the magazines, jejejeje, I stopped doing this when I began to get into writing...and I so missed it, now that I did it again, I acknowledge that.

Date: 2006-04-11 09:36 pm (UTC)And LOL! Though you probably will disagree...lucky you if you didn't have to do those in school!
When I was growing up we all had to take "manual arts", which for girls meant mostly knitting and that sort the 3 years of middle school, and for boys was stuff like wood work etc.
I hated every minute of it. I am somewhat clumsy for precision manual work (I blame it on the fact that I'm missing a piece of finger... though truth is I'm just terrible :P)
It was by far my worst class and the nun sure didn't help. My, I can see her walking down the aisle nodding and saying "good, good" until she got to my desk and sighing heavily she said something along the lines of "what is that? That's unacceptable!" I was often the example on how not to do things ;)
I sew well enough to mend clothes, and I've even made some plus a couple of bags over the years, but none of it was ever particulary well done or (even less so!) enjoyed.
Kudos to you!
