About Cenotes and Friendships
Apr. 11th, 2009 07:23 pmCenotes are surface connections to subterranean water bodies [2]. While the most well-known cenotes are large open water pools measuring tens of meters in diameter, such as those at Chichén Itzá, the greatest number of cenotes are smaller sheltered sites and do not necessarily have any surface exposed water. The term cenote has also been used to describe similar karst features in other countries such as Cuba and Australia, in addition to the more generic term of sinkholes.
Cenote water is often very clear, as the water comes from rain water infiltrating slowly through the ground, and therefore contains very little suspended particulate matter. The groundwater flow rate within a cenote may be very slow at velocities ranging from 1 to 1000 meters per year[citation needed]. In many cases, cenotes are areas where sections of cave roof have collapsed revealing an underlying cave system and the water flow rates here may be much faster: up to 10,000 meters per day[3]. Cenotes around the world attract cave divers who have documented extensive flooded cave systems through them, some of which have been explored for lengths of 100 kilometers or more.

A little bit of pimping
Nov. 5th, 2006 09:39 pmNext month, it'll be the first anniversary of his passing.
Well, I came up with the idea one day, of creating a Defender's Site for Bud, and I finally managed to work it out. It's still very simple, has only one story written for me, one of the ones I wrote for the 100 Spanish Saint Seiya Ficlets and images from the Anime a friend of mine sent me, and of course, the image by Sacred Saga and
I hope the place continues growing.
The place is in Spanish, but anyone can access it and become a defender if wanting to.

ETA: Since the link doesn't want to be here anymore (had a banner and all that...sniff, I'm putting it here: La Sombra de Zetha

The Day of the Dead
Nov. 2nd, 2006 10:43 amNadixiellÃ, Minino.
Grams, Auntie, love you so very much.
Lunita
¡Ay lunita mia cuanto te he extrañado!
Farewell...finally
Dec. 12th, 2005 07:52 pmI could finally write about him. I don't honoured him with this, I know. I still lack the words to speak of him, of what he meant to me. Of the good friend he was, but I could finally write.
*sigh*
( Farewell to my friend. )
Goodbye to a good friend.
