The Day of the Dead

Today is the day of the dead, and I can only pray for them, for I don't go out with the animero and we don't create altars for them.  It's also a day for me to remember my kitten, Canek.  He wrote a "calaverita" last year for me, and though he deleted all he ones he'd written from his blog, I'd already saved mine, here it is (In Spanish, of course)

for us, it's on nov 1st. Grandma used to say when i was a kid that it's about what must be done, but also about love.

I never do anything, really. In Colombia, we believe in "Las ánimas del purgatorio" and I always pray to them, so it's like the day of the dead is everyday for me.

I am strong...too strong actually, it just makes me feel them closer, I guess ^^U
