back in town.
Jun. 28th, 2006 12:55 amI spent a whole weekend on the country side with Hubby's family.
Vamp took me fishing to one ot the tourts places in the twn, since fishing in the river is nowadays banned and 'till December so that everything is ready for the festivities at that time, anyways, long story short, I caught a super fish, hehehehe, pictures tomorrow...hopefully.
God...I wanted to write about a bunch of things, but I don't feel like it. I'm sleepy, haven't finished downloading stuff, haven't finished organising soeme other stuff and I'm late with some Runya work.
Well, I can do it (the Runya stuff) after all I'm my own boss over there.
I guess I'm glad I went away.

Date: 2006-06-28 07:21 am (UTC)So glad you had a good time out in the country. Looking forward to seeing the big fish. That river fishing ban is admirable, I mean countries should protect their natural resources. Here in Asturias, ineffectively controlled bans on harvesting certain types of marine creature, have led to species on the brink of extinction.
The perceibes and angula are two that come to mind. After years of lobbying by ecologists, and deaf ears and blind eyes by local authorities, local residents have formed vigilance groups to disuade poachers. But the prices that restaurants pay for these ever rarer delicacies have made the poachers bolder and bolder.
Restaurants can charge as much as 50 euros for a plate of angulas at Christmas, but a time will come when there are no more... so three cheers for Colombia for knowing how effectively implement conservationist policies.
Get some rest, you've got a short week ahead of you, and then hols!
Of course the Runya schedule runs by your watch, boss.
Glad you're glad you went away.
Grá mór.
