[profile] mitsukishiroi  just posted on her LJ about Nanowrimo.  I've always followed it, though I've never attempted it, though there was something in the Nanowrimo site that made me consider doing it "(...)It's all about quantity, not quality. (...) Make no mistake: You will be writing a lot of crap."

We'll see...

Eta:  I talked to Vamp a couple of hours ago and he encouraged me to sign up under threat of loads of ice-cream, feet rubbing, massages and soul lift-ups.  I'm taking his word and holding on to him.

Tell me I'm not losing it *plop*

I've often thought of signing up, but November is the month I get geared up for SeSa.

I think it's a great thing though :)

mmm...Sesa, I've already given up on signing for this year's Sesa. I sucked so much last year that it'd break me if something like that happened to me again. I wish I could say I was inexperienced, but well, Sesa was my thirs story in the popslash fandom. I'd begun with [livejournal.com profile] luxshine's bday in October/06. Dunno. I'm way too scared to be part of "public" challenges anymore.

Nanowrimo though, is an option. The only thing that would be seen is my name and I don't think someone would actually read what I write, so, I might actually give it a try. Hubby is willing to start the cheerleader carrer only for my writing purposes.

I need to start writing in English again, or else, I'm afraid I won't dare do it again. Well, it's not my mother tongue, anyways *sigh*

I'm a quality over quantity writer, I'm afraid. In fact, I always try to use the fewest possible words to tell what I want to get across. I'm quite a minimalist. I like long sentences, I admit, but every word must have a reason for being there, not one word more than necessary to get the scene across. I never count my words, unless there's some weird reason for doing so. Word count is not an objective for me, I don't aim for 10,000 or whatever, for me, it's just the number of words there are in the tale.

I'm not a Nanowrimo person, I believe.

Vamp is a most persuasive person, I'd say, hehehe.

Good luck!

You know me better as a writer than I know myself. I'm doing it not because of the number of words, but because I need to get into writing again or else...

I'm not a writer, I believe. But one can always dream. The day I stop dreaming, I'll die.

Thank you, my friend.

Writing is good, and I so want to see you writing again. You do it so well, dear friend. You are a writer, the way I see it, and quite a good one. You write about what you like, and what you love, and you put your heart and soul into your words. I would go so far as to say that you write from your heart, and that is definitely a trait of a good writer.

I'm thrilled that you'll be participating in the Nanowrimo, and I'm sure that it'll be a very positive experience for you.

Keep your dreams.

Me here, forever and beyond.

Yay, go go go :D

Nano is hard, but you have a few more days left to think of a plot and develop your characters, so you'll be fine. xD

I'll come up with something; I'm not worried about plot, I'm just concerned about my crappy writing *sigh*

I'll do it. I will.

I think it's a great idea! I've always wanted to participate, but November just isn't a good month for me, considering the end of semester. ^^; But anyway, I think it'd be a good practice, to focus more on writing and writing and even more writing, instead of stopping to edit every time. (Which is what I constantly struggle with)

I'd love to know more about this project, if you decide to go with it. :D

I do the same thing and I stay in editing and proofreading and end up writing. That's why I have so many wips (not to tell you that I'm scared to death to finish some of them, ehem)

Sure, I'll post stuff here. I've already decided to begin, now I only need to find a plot and start working on it...I also need to decide the language *pulls hair*
