Today, for the first time in years, I questioned my liking of yaoi/slash.  And I'm not happy about it.

The thing is, I read yaoi/slash, I write it, I enjoy it, I love it.

Yuri is not my favourite, but I don't mind it.  Het is OK.  It's what I see everyday, no matter where I turned to look.

No, I don't despise yuri, nor het stories.  And to your surprise, I've enjoyed them.  And even written them.

I, on my own twisted, particular and perverted way of seeing life, like yaoi/slash.

A lot.

If my husband doesn't mind it, and even "sponsors" it for me, then, I don't see why I've got to explain myself.  Yes, I am married, over thirty, with a nice job in a very re-known place in my city and no, I don't think I'm a sick person for liking yaoi.

Plus, I certainly don't need your approval.

You don't have to conform to what other people want. You like what you like, and that's it, end of story. Are you going to change because someone seems puzzled by your liking for something they don't like? I don't think so.

Who said you were sick 'cause you like yaoi?

You know, I always ask myself what's the thing with yaoi? Why I like it? I like to find reasons for everythings. But, everytime, I can't find any. I just like it. And I think the important thing about that is you like it. Maybe if you find a reason for that, and I mean a *reason* -'cause you can always say is different, explore new things, you like guys too much, it's well drawn blah blah blah, you can find *other* things that have that too but you don't like them as you like yaoi, or anything else you like in that case- maybe that means you have started liking it with your head, with your mind. And, I think -childish and unexperienced as I might be and all that crap- you should always like things with your heart, and have no words to describe why you like what you like. You can always find things to say to people so they stop bothering you, but, deep down, you should just feel it.

Maybe I went off topic. Maybe I just wrote all that senseless speech 'cause I asked me the same thing today as well. Hm. Hate thinking too much xD

Because I'm straight and married, I've been called any names you can possibly think of. Not only online, also on RL and I think I've got to the point where I'll just hit back.

I simply and plainly like yaoi. Period.

Whoever doesn't like it, is free to get out of my life at any time. Or just not get in it whatsoever.
