Writing course is done!
Nov. 30th, 2007 12:30 pmSo, my writing course is finally over and last night, when my teachers heard me reading Laberinto they were like O.o First, because they could fathom what was going to happen (YAY!) and second because they were taken aback by the way I use Spanish.
Now I have to go back to my Sesas ^___^ and take advantage of my lunch break.
Now, why were they surprised? First, my teachers always told me I had to stop reading and writing stuff I liked. "Don't write vampires" "Stop writing fanfiction" "Why do you have to write in English if your mother tongue is Spanish?" *sigh* and well, since I've got so many problems with my spoken Spanish, which is pretty much screwed b/c I use English most of the day, they thought I didn't know how to write it. Well, I've read since I was a child. I used to participate in spelling contests and was only one of the top students in my classes.
*big grin*
I think I feel vindicated after the hell of a year they made me go through, making me think I shouldn't write anymore, or that I should give up on English altogether. I'm back to the way it used to be before, I write in whatever language I want, and I'll keep on learning. If there's someone out there willing to teach me, great; if not, well, life sucks sometimes. Also, I wouldn't have trade this course for anything in this world, which is leading me to re-write and re-check some old stories before finishing them. (got my dragons, vampires, gods and of course, Saint Seiya :P)
Anyways, since the course was a Diploma course, we had our graduation ceremony last night. Vamp came with me. Pics and videos later one. Our desktop pc is fucked up yet again. Now, the screen died on us, and we have to get a new one. He loved my classmates, he already knew one of them and one of my teachers, who, btw, got really upset because I hadn't send my story to him to read it before the ceremony :P He was just so nice. He told me that when I was reading, he could picture me with the Cretan attire, the hairdo (just in case you've never seen a pic mine, my hair is black and waist-long) that I only needed the make up They were proud of me. I received wonderful comments; and we're going to start having "tertulias" (literary gatherings ?) every so often.
