You have a wonderful family (I know that animals are better than humans!)

That is my only dog, it's a shih tzu and I have another child but he's not a baby anymore because now he's a teen ager ^_- (I'm a very old woman *sigh*)

Sure I'm a real mom and wife ^_^ and my son is a teen ager but I feel also a mom to my dog who always wants to focus all my attention on it (or should I say him? Please teacher tell me if here I have to talk of my dog as "it" or "him" ^__^)

WOW. I'd never thought you were neither married nor a mom. What a nice surprise ^^

As for the way of referring to an animal, when it comes to the one in your family, you can call him "he", and it'd be OK ^__^
