I guess I'd mentioned this before. Some weeks ago I was working on my writings, it was "fallen" and there was a touching movement for Gabriel, and I ended up drawing some...lines
I just realised I posted my comment in the wrong place... Sorry... I am clumsy, aren't I? or is it absent-minded?
About doing things we're supposed to or not supposed to do... I don't think there are things we're not meant to do... we can do whatever we set our minds to, drawing, writing, language learning, dancing, cooking, gardening, whatever.
And as for writing, you were born to write. I know you've been a story-teller all your life, and you have so many stories to tell. You keep writing, dear friend, and keep drawing too!
The Messenger had also told his God and brothers about the need of redemption the gods might have had. He had said that the gods as well as the humans had been given freedom to choose, thus they should also have the option of redemption.
It was impossible not to remember God’s benevolent face turned towards him. Gabriel thought once again.
This was what I was thinking about when I made that drawing, remember this part? (It's from chap 1) ^^ So yes, it's some sort of Gabriel lost on his thoughts.

The way his head is tilted... like he's looking over his shoulder at... whom?
There is sadness in his posture, or resignation.
Do angels have a conscience, I wonder? This one does, I think...
