Sorry, I'm a complete ignorant regarding DW and stuff; but I've seen some people over at my f-list talking about it and I don't get it.  Could someone please enlighten me a little?  *blush*

Dreamwidth (http://www.dreamwidth.org) is a journaling site, based on LJ's open source code, but created by fandom peoples to avoid the mess like we had with Strikethrough 'O7, with all the journal deletion, etc. caused by people not in fandom trying to tell us what we can/cannot have in our journals.

Yeah, you have to be invited for now, since it's still in closed beta testing. Open beta testing starts on April 30th, I believe.. Are you interested? If so and I get enough invite codes, I'll pass one to you.

You can also set up an open ID, using yourname.livejournal.com name, but as of now, those are only to read your friends. If you want to actually post to dreamwidth you have to be invited.

I have no idea as to how to use open ID, so, I think I'll take the invite offer. *glomps*
