Import done

Importing my LJ to DW is done. I'll see how I manage to arrange and customise things around, but for now; things are safe here as well.

We'll see what happenes w/LJ in the future anyways.

How is that you decided to do it now? Is there any new risk for LJ to shutdown or is it for the twitter/facebook thing?

Yes, it's more the twitter/facebook thing, to be honest. I don't have anything to hide in terms of my fandoms and the things I write. I've been pretty open about it with my family and they all know about it; but with my divorce and things, and the fact that my ex would love to read what I write here, since he hasn't been able to access my LJ, I just wouldn't want a chance, not even by accident of him finally accessing here.

And the fact that you can't actually control who's reposting your entries... I just don't like it.

I love LJ... but I think they've crossed a line here; and I've been the kind of person to always give it a chance... Now, I'm not that sure.

I've had my DW account for a while already. So, having the backup there sounds like a good idea right now, just in case.

And to do the importing is the same as before, or did they change the directions they gave one year ago?

I think it's actually easier now. Back then, there were a lot of people trying to back up their stuff. It took me less than ten minutes to do it.

No Hun; just backing up stuff. This whole reposting on facebook and twitter thing is not my thing... I love LJ and stuff, but this is like too much.

For now, yes. I "have" to pay by November; but if LJ doesn't fix this, I don't think I will. This will continue being my main journal, but if this continues like this, I might change. *sighs*
