yesterday, today and who knows when...
Aug. 5th, 2005 12:04 pmOk, this is oficial, I'm a pervert. Said it yesterday, comfirm it today. Which is somehow nice. I don't have to feel bad about anything anymore.
As I told Au yesterday, I think I had a lot of misconceptions interms of people and their beliefs. Not that I have a problem with that not at all. It was just surprising for me to be face to face with that. I guess I have to learn not to assume things about anyone or anything.3
The thing is also, that I came to think these kinds of things thanks to what Ive seen.' Ive been taken aback by some stuff. But I guess it's all just fine. Just need to adjust what I say to others and how. What topics to cover and stuff. If anyone ever tells me their are offended about what I like, trust me, I wouldn't know how to react...although I do know it wouldn't be a nice way.
On better topics, a co-worker lent me the latest Harry Potter book. Looks good, but I have to admit I'm not as excited to read this one as I was with the previous two. It's fine so far, we'll see how it ends.
I've seen "Finding Neverland" yet again. Love the movie. Love to go through it and see Mr. Barrie overcoming his own fears. Love to see him living on his world of fantasy where everything is possible and where he's not afraid of anything. I think I've said it before, I've got my own Neverland, *sigh*
We're going to buy some dvd's today. Problem is "Kingdom of Heaven" is not like that yet *cries* so I've got to be patient.
I've been enjoying "Animax"a lot in its first week. I've fallen for "Wolf's Rain"; Kiba is my favorite. There's something about his eyes I can't truly explain. Also, the "Book of the Moon" and the setting in general. I'm a felines person yes; but wolves are also my favorite. Have enjoyed "Hellsing" again and I'm really having a good time with "Full Metal Alchemist" There's also this one I just saw yesterday, "Getbackes" looks good also.
I've been reading a lot of manga lately. Since this has to do with yaoi, I'll hide it.
Been re-reading "Haru Wo Daite Ita" again. I love the way in which Kato and Iwaki got along with each other, especially since this is not the typical yaoi tyhing where it all comes to having sex and that's it. I love to see how the character grow with each other and how Iwaki surrenders to the new feelings he's experiencing. I also love to see Kato growing as a man, I mean, he's so reckless and then he's so mature. it's wonderful.
Been reading some other (don't remember all the names right now, but I'll edit this later on, when I'm home.)
Crimson Spell, 17 Guys, groupie, DNA, (...)
Love the stories. I have to admit something else, I've found myself in trouble trying to come to terms with raping; it's something I can't stand easily *sigh* and incest which is something I can't relate to at all. Imean, just imagining kissing my sisters or parents is too gross. Ddespite all that I'm amazed with some of the drawings and the stories in general. But my favorite, will be Haru for ever.
Also, I read "When a man loves a man" by Youka Nitta, the same mankaga of Haru, I have to say that seeing Iwaki behaving so different was kind of shocking for me, but loved him nonetheless. (yes, I've got a crush on Kyosuke Iwaki) It was also interesting to see Kato acting so...naively, but he was so cute ^^ it made me see him in a different prespective.
I've been downloading the "Loveless" episodes. yes, the series has to deal with a "pubert" having a sort of relationship with an adult. But the images have just caught me. Ritsuka is so beautiful. And so different from the manga that I was shocked. In the manga he laughs and smiles, in the anime...he has this beautiful, attractive look that makes you want to protect him from everything. There's also his brother Seimei who had died before the series even begun, however. He's so sweet ^^ and Soubi...God...I've got serious issues with smoking characters, but with this one in particular, I think like I can forgive him everything. There's so much pain in him. The scars on his neck saying "Beloved" good lord.. can't wait to have it all complete.
^^

Date: 2005-08-05 11:08 am (UTC)Loveless! I watched that one too. Ritsuka and Soubi's relationship creeps me out a bit (Ritsuka is just... so young) but I love the story and the setting so far. I haven't read the manga yet but at least the anime makes it seem very cool, especially the fight/sacrifice system. Seimei is so intriguing and pretty too. *_*

Date: 2005-08-05 02:17 pm (UTC)I love wolves, basically due to my hubby who is really fond of them. I'm more into ctas and big tigers, hehehehehe.
About Loveless, I understand about Ritsuka and Soubi're relationship, but I don't see it as offensive as that situations is for me. Dunn, maybe it's çoz it's just fictional and as I said, the images have simply captivated me.

Date: 2005-08-05 11:31 am (UTC)Have loved the first eight eps of Full Metal Alchemist and love Get Backers very very much (Midou Ban!!! *hearts*) As for Loveless, apart from the relationship between Soubi and Ritsuka, I find the plot rather interesting and Soubi is just gorgeous! I'm like you, I think I can forgive him anything :P Not a big fan of Ritsuka though myself, I think he freaks out a bit too often, but then that's possibly because he's still so young. He annoys me more than anything else though :P

Date: 2005-08-05 11:46 am (UTC)About Finding Neverland... I sooo want to see that film.
From what you say, I think we all have our own Neverland. That place in the farthest reaches of the mind where the dreams live. Some people are in touch with that part of their mind, and they cultivate it, like a secret garden, full of fantasy and with a surprise at every turning.
Keep exploring that wonderful place.

Date: 2005-08-05 05:35 pm (UTC)I thought most of the people I knew liked yaoi. But I've been surprised by the bunch of people who don't and I was wrong about that. Believe me, now I wouldn't even know how to adress the issue...anyways
