Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

ariadnemI began reading HP because of Natasha a.k.a Kuroblade who's one of the dearest people to me. She convinced me last year to begin reading the books, since she's a huge fan and everytime she told me about them, I couldn't say anything; also, when she wanted me to read a fic I couldn't understand shit 'cos I didn't know the story. Now I do....
I didn't begin reading the First book. In fact, I began with #3 The Prisioner of Azkaban. I remember it was something...new. That's why I sorta enjoyed the reading. it wasn't this little kid anymore, even though I still say it's like reading my students' papers with better vocabulary. (Yes Ada, according to that, my Sts are crappy *rlof*) Then it came #4 The Gobblet of Fire...what can I say of that...surprised JKR had killed Cedric, and then in #5 The Order of The Phoenix, Sirius. I have to admit one more thing, since I have this strange infatuation with wolves (despite being a cat person) I fell for Lupin (JKR writes him very little, though) then it was "him" what made me read the other books...now I've read #6 The Half Blood Prince. just finished last night and Vamp asked me "How was it, Cone?"; I answered "Harry Potter is a Mary Sue".
He didn't understand and of course I had to explain myself.
I'm not against love and all that, but give me a fucking break! Six books so Harry goes through a three pages explanation of the fact that he can love and Voldemort can't is what makes him special?! My...and even at that pat, I knew how it was going to end up...in the next five more pages, she was going to end the story, and of course, Harry was going to be the "hero".
Now, speaking of love...Ron and Hermione together is not a surprise. Ginny and Harry...well, Ginny had always had a crush on him but Harry fell for her like that...puff one day she was her best friend's sister and then he was in love her. Tonks and Lupin???? She makes these love stories appear over there w/o a reasonable explanation and they look (to me, of course) lame....too lame.
Snape. Severus had always been, from the whole series, the character that I've liked the most. Now...I don't know why, I feel like Dumbledore, trusting him 'till the last minute, hehehehehehe. Now, he is the Half Blood Prince????!!!!! *slap myself* now the next thing I'm gonna hear is that Snape is the real brain behind Voldemort's evil plans and then I'll explode out of laughing. God...
Dumbledore..his death...what can I say. He deserved more. I'm speechless not because he'd died, but because I don't see why it was necessary. Oh yes, "The Dark Lord" needs him out the way. but dying for nothing...well, it's HP. Anything can happen.

I told Ada these past days that to me, reading this book was more a thing of morbid curiosity than anything else. I told her "if this woman can write, then I can do it as well." I respect Mrs. Rowling's work; but give me a break! and show some respect for the people who reads. I used to think that books 4 and 5 were better written than 3 (dunno about the others) but 6...I'd just begun and was already complaining about it.
Now, I guess waiting will be the best thing to do. Can't wait to see the movie; since having read the books I want to see if everything written is going to be seen. And book N.7...well, I imagine she's just begun to write it, so I'll be patient.

Now...in this last one, the final two pages...He's quitting school and is going to hunt Voldemort, and Ron and Hermione are coming with him, and he'd just broken Ginny's heart because he can't risk her...so...typical and as you said canon-sue. ¬¬
