Wanderings
Aug. 27th, 2005 08:59 pmI just woke up and saw myself standing on the loneliest place in the world and what happened next I couldn't help it...
Then it was so great to see "The Undertaker" fighting at the WWF...I hate RKO ¬¬
Got not much to say today; even when there's a lot in my mind. I guess I mentioned before I've been checking my stories; well, I've ended up adding stuff and all that, at least to the first ones; couldn't help it. Anyways...
Gotta take a new test on Monday, TKT (Teaching Knowledge Test) I'm taking it easy...at least for me it's not that hard (I have a preparation on Tesol, EFL and ESL; so, most of the vocabulary is ok. We'll see how it goes.
Off I go now...

Date: 2005-08-28 01:12 am (UTC)About your stories. It's good to re-read, and to re-write. I find that every time you re-read something, you can find something new, some detail that maybe slipped your attention last time. As for re-writing, that is also a very good thing. I think that many writers would like to be able to re-write some of their work, and I know of several cases of published works which in later editions the writer had had changes made. In one book I read, the entire final chapter was removed at the writer's request. I had read the book once at the public library, and later in life I decided to buy a copy of it to re-read, and to my surprise, it ended on the second last chapter, last chapter omitted...
I'm constantly re-reading, like I look at the book shelf, and I think, my-oh-my, I haven't read this one in over ten years, maybe time for a re-read. To me a book is like being a writer's friend while you're reading. You can laugh and cry with what the writer is telling you, and as I love re-telling stories, I go back to the same books time after time, and the same stories.
By the way, Knossos is looking great!
Good luck with your TKT. I'm sure you'll do famously, as an old teacher of mine said. You'll pass with flying colours. You're a natural.
Well, I'd better be going too.
